Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! Did you all have a good weekend? We had one of those weekends that I never wanted to end. We didn't do anything special but we just had such a good time together as a family.

Kyle got home from work early on Friday so I was able to start an early happy hour. I couldn't decide between a rose or a champagne so I went with this brut rose and it was perfect!
We then headed to dinner at a new restaurant that we've been dying to try called Park Tavern.  We ended up waiting 45 minutes which is a lot with the kids but the food was so good it was worth it! We started with the fresh  baked soft pretzel and loaded crab chips,  which were both so good that I was so full I didn't even eat my dinner.  I didn't take any pics of course because I was that awesome parent letting my 2 yr old watch you tube truck videos at the dinner table so I could enjoy my food and drinks in peace ;) #nojudging

Saturday we spent the morning packing some rooms in the house for the move. I'm pretty sure I own at least 100 wine glasses, I'm trying to purge stuff at the same time but I have the hardest time letting go of things because I never know when I might need them. Anyone else do this?

The boys love the pool, well at least Miller does. He is such a little fish and always swimming and splashing around. Matthew enjoys splashing around for about 20 minutes and then he's usually ready for dry clothes. He seems to like the pool better than the beach though.  He's also already grown out of all of this rash guards this summer so I need to get him some new ones. I can't keep up with this big boy who is moving up to 12 month sizes already.  So different from his brother who is still a little peanut!

On Sunday after some more packing we headed over to my parents house to spend the afternoon lounging by the pool.
I love laying by or in the pool enjoying some cocktails while the kids run around and my parents help watch them so we can relax. It's so nice to get a little break and  for them to have some time with their grandparents.

Hope you all have a happy Monday!

  2. Sounds like a fun weekend and a great way to beat the heat! I'm searching for that brut rose tomorrow at the grocery store! I'm the opposite when it comes to packing - I purge everything and get to a new location and realize that I actually needed X and then have to go buy it again!
