Thoughts for Thursday

- It is snowing again today! I know I can't complain because we have had no where near the snow that Boston has had but it's hard being stuck inside all day with two babies.  I am so over it.

- I'm not a fan of snow. At all.  I hate being cold. The only upside is I'm actually getting my money's worth out of Miller's snowsuit and snow boots.

- I'm on the hunt for a new rug for our family room.   Thinking about this wool and jute one from Pottery Barn because the wool makes it softer than a regular jute rug but I do worry about shedding and still being uncomfortable for kids.

- I have a girl's trip to Florida planned for April with my mom and sister.   I am really excited for a few days away of laying by the beach and shopping but I'm terrified to leave my boys!  The only time I left Miller for longer than one night was when I was in the hospital with Matthew and I still haven't left Matthew overnight.   I'm afraid I'm going to miss them so much and worry about them that I'm not going to have fun.   Any advice??

- I stumbled upon this wedding dress on Pinterest the other day and I'm in love with it.  It makes me want to get married again.  I love how the front is conservative with the sleeves and then the back is low cut and sexy. So unexpected.

The dress is from Etsy too, which is so cool

- Speaking of Etsy I've already started planning Miller's second birthay.  I think it's going to be a train theme.  I also can't believe he's going to be 2!!!! How did it happen so fast?!

- As you know I love smocked clothing for my boys (especially in the summer) and I just discovered Smocked boys re-sale sites on Facebook!! I'm completely addicted!  You can get new with tags and barely used smocked clothes for so cheap.  I've already bought 4 things and I just discovered them last week. The prices were too good to pass up.

- Speaking of shopping and boys clothes I never realized just how much I shopped for the boys until I started going through my bins of clothes! I have so many clothes! I think I'm going to have to purge some and have a instagram/facebook sale.  I've got some good stuff that has barely been worn.

- 23 days until Spring!

 Now it's your turn!

  6. Greyson had a train party for his second birthday! It's the perfect time for a Choo Choo, XXX is turning two theme! The first time I left both kids for a getaway to Florida, I was a HOT mess. I highly recommend wine or xanax. The plane ride there and back are the hardest, but once you're there it's great and relaxing and you come back ready to tackle anything!

  9. Oh my gosh, I am in Portland (Maine), and am OVER the snow and cold!!! Cam doesn't want to go outside because it's too cold (and I have no snow pants that fit my preggo belly), and he's watched every episode on the PBS Kids app - haha!! I am ready for spring and walks and the playground! I LOVE that dress...my best friend is getting married, and I am so jealous she gets to pick out all this stuff again! It's so fun! PS West Elm has a good sale on rugs right now! ;)

  13. I love a good resale for kids clothes. They go through them so fast! I just discovered Moxie Jean, an online resale shop for kids. I've bought a few things from there. What I was so excited about though was that you can mail your stuff in to sell; no more waiting at the consignment shop for them to search through your bin of clothes. Ha! that sounded like a sales pitch, I promise I'm not affiliated.

  14. Sorry yall are getting snow too! No matter if it's 3" or 10' it gets really boring really quickly with little kids stuck inside! Just keep thinking about your fun trip to FL - where are you going? I've totally started planning Abby's 5th birthday party too and trying to hold off on ordering anything because I'm afraid she's going to change her mind about her theme! At least with Miller you don't need to worry about that yet! Do you have any PB rugs already? They shed like crazy for years... But I love the neutral look of the one you chose!

  16. Holy moly, that wedding dress! I got my seagrass rugs from Natural Area Rugs.com and they were great prices (and usually they are on sale as well). Overstock also has a good selection and gotta love the ebates cash back ;)

  17. I put that rug in Nash's nursery. It's surprisingly soft. I think it would be great in a living room.

  20. That dress is gorgeous, however the back goes a littleeee to low for my taste. It's like almost at her butt crack!! But I bet the girls trip will be a blast, I'm sure it's gotta be hard leaving your little ones (esp. for the first time) but you know they'll be in good hands and every momma deserves some R&R! xo

  21. I'm so excited for you to have a warm getaway. Where in FL are you headed? Honestly, I think you will be amazed at how well you will do being away from them. I'm not saying you won't worry some, but it will be such a needed relaxation trip and you will be so busy, you won't have time to worry. I couldn't believe how well I did last year when Matt and I left Brody for 5 nights!! I'm going on a bachelorette trip this weekend and leaving Matt by himself with Brody for the first time. That makes me a little more nervous... It will be great for him though! You also have to share your new Facebook site you found!!

  24. Kids clothes are so stinkin' cute....I can see how easy it would be to accumulate them. I can't imagine what will happen to my shopaholic tendencies when the time comes for babies!

  25. I'm addicted to the clothing sites too! I get so excited when a new package arrives in the mail. We had friends with the PB Jute rug, but I think they switched it out for a softer rug once their little one started crawling. Maybe it wasn't the blended rug though. I am sooo over winter! It will be 70 here tomorrow!! Yay!
