Thoughts for Thursday: A Few of My Favorite Things

Happy Valentine's Day Friends! In honor of this day of love, I thought I would share with you some things I've been loving.  Because let's be honest, at my age I prefer practical gifts anyway.

1. Smocked Auctions Monogrammed Rash Guards

You guys I can't even tell you how exited I am that these are back!! My boys lived in theirs last year! They held up to almost daily pool and beach wear and were still in great condition come Labor Day.  I've already purchased the short sleeve in two colors and plan to do the same with the long sleeve.  The good news is if monograms aren't your thing you can just get them blank.  As far as sizing goes I would say they fit TTS. I had a 4T for Matthew at 3.5 yr and a 5 for Miller at 5.  My boys are very average height/weight and are usually in the same size as their age.  If you have a little girl don't you worry, there are plenty adorable monogram options for you here.

You guys I cannot say enough good things about this peel!  I actually owe a whole entire post to my new skin care routine with Beautycounter but in the meantime I have to rave about this one item.  For the past year I had been using Sunday Riley Good Genes. I've always had good luck with their products and would use GG about 2-3 times a week.  I honestly thought it was doing a good job or the best a product could until I started using this. You guys the overnight resurfacing peel is 1000x better than Good Genes!! First of all it's gentle enough that I can use it every night if I want (I still only do 4-5x a week to be safe) and once I top it with the Countermatch Recovery Night Cream my skin feels amazing in the morning.  Like baby soft.  My skin texture has improved so much in the past 2.5 months I've been using it and the best part... my hormonal acne is pretty much completely gone! Again I owe BC another post but I know this nightly peel is one of the reasons why.  It's such a nice feeling to wake up with clear skin everyday and feel good about the products I'm putting on my face.

I wanted to get an essential oil diffuser for our family room and thought this pineapple one would be adorable and blend in well.  It's the perfect size and the under $35 price point was perfect. I loved it so much I ended up ordering one for our bedroom too.

I am one of those people who loves to drink out of straws.  I have to have one for my water and iced coffee.  For a long time I used plastic straws, then is switched to paper straws to be more green and then finally decided I just needed to get some reusable ones.   I found these on Amazon for $9.00 and they've been awesome!  I usually use the stainless steel ones with my iced coffee and the silicone ones with my waters.  My boys loved them so much that I went ahead and purchased these kid sized below for them.

I first showed you all these on my fall wishlist post and I've loved them every since I purchased them!  They're great for us tall girls since they have a low heel and can easily be worn with jeans or dresses with tights.  If you've been considering them they're on sale for $89 now and I think they fit TTS.

What are some things you've been loving lately?
