Thoughts for Thursday: Life Lately

Happy Thursday Friends! Remember you can write about whatever you want, just grab the button and link up below.

Remember this dress?  It's back in stock at two stores!!  You can find it here and here.  I still love this dress and get tons of compliments when I wear it.

- Matthew is finally over Hand foot and mouth.  This was our first time having it (Miller hasn't had it yet) and it was awful. The rash on his hands and feet were very mild but he had the sores in his throat and was so pitiful. He would cry every time he ate and drank.  He also was up all night every night last week and barely napped.  We are finally back on our sleep schedule and doing much better.  I'm so glad to have my happy baby back.

- I took the kids to our local park to see the baby animals last week. It was so hot but they love to see the animals so much. We finally learned how to use our selfie stick I've owned for like 6 months.

- Looking for an activity to keep your toddler busy?  Remember those capsules you put in water and they turn into something?  I found some in dollar spot at Target and Miller is obsessed with them.  We've gotten the bugs and dinosaur ones and he can't get enough of them.

- I started Whisper Beach and so far it's good! I will have the full review Monday, hoping I finish it this weekend and don't just fall asleep ;)

- This top I posted yesterday is sold out but the dress version is back in stock!! I wish I had gotten the dress too but I don't think I can have the top and dress, so you all need to buy it!

Top sold out but dress here// Shorts// Bag// Sandals// Watch

- Kyle and I are trying to plan a weekend for us to get away just the two of us! We've been away three times just the two of us but they have all been for weddings so we've always had a schedule/stuff to do etc.  We have yet to take just a vacation just the two of us.  We're thinking late September or early October.   Our top contenders are:

We are also considering sneaking away to Bahamas or Cancun again to just sit on the beach and really do nothing!    We've both been to Charleston, neither of us have been to Savannah. I've been to Bahamas and of course we've both been to Cancun so we can't really decide!  Any advice?

  1. Love that embroidered top! I'm trying to be good and not spend a bunch of money lately since we just got back from our trip, and are now gonna be paying for IVF, but if I had some extra dough I'd totally be getting that! :)

  2. Yay for a getaway, you guys deserve it! We went to Savannah on our babymoon and I loved it but would personally pick Charleston over Savannah... though I may be biased :) That's the perfect time to visit here! And oh man I totally forgot about those capsule things.. How fun!

    2. I agree...Charleston over Savannah!

  3. I have to day, although I love Savannah I would pick Charleston over it- there is more to do and see!

  4. I wouldn't even know what to do with a trip just Josh and I, that sounds glorious! When we were in Cancun I kept thinking how fun it would be just us. A bunch of my friends have stayed at the Excellence there as a couples and highly recommend it. I say go big if you are going to do it!

  5. I love Both Savannah and Charleston! Since you both have never been to Savannah that would be great, but I do think there is more to do in Charleston? Kip and I are hoping to go to Charleston this fall too now that we are in driving distance from it!

  6. So glad the hand foot and mouth is gone! Sounds like a hard week. A weekend trip sounds perfect! I'll have to keep my eyes out for those dollar spot capsules!

  7. Your getaway options sound fabulous! I haven't been to either but I'm sure they would be great. We're going to Cali in a few weeks for our first getaway from both boys. Beautifully Candid

  8. Such a great dress! Perfectly styled with your pom pom clutch.

    xx, Elise

  9. Such a fabulous dress. As far as your vacation goes, I've never been to any of those places and they all sound great to me.

  10. That dress is so cute! I'm glad little man is feeling better!

  11. We went to Charleston last November and had a good time. There is not a lot to do, but it was nice to have a laid back trip.

  12. I'm so sorry to hear about Matthew. I don't know how I missed hearing that he had hand, foot and mouth. thats the worst and then no sleep?? ugh. Poor mama. You look so adorable in that Line & Dot dress. I had to order it in the french blue too. Its so cute!

  13. This dress is so pretty and the pom pom clutch is just fabulous and fun! Thanks for hosting and have a great rest of the week!

  15. omg miller is too cute examining those little sponge critters!! wish i was still in charleston so we could meet up! xo jillian - cornflake dreams

  16. Love, love that dress! We're going to Charleston in April for my 30th birthday and I can.not.wait. And, HFM is the WORST. Walker had it last year around this time and it broke my heart. The only thing that helped was Maalox mixed with children's Benadryl. It's so sad to see them like that and know there's literally NO antibiotics or anything you can really give them for it! Ugh!

  17. Poor Matthew! I've heard that virus is miserable! Praying Miller doesn't get it and you end up with round 2! My vote is for Charleston of course! Since Savannah and Charleston are only 1.5 hours away maybe you could do both?
