Thoughts for Thursday: Randomness

Welcome to another Thoughts for Thursday.  Remember you can blog about whatever you want. Just grab the button and link up below!

Thoughts for Thursday
- Some days I feel like I'm barely hanging on by a thread.  Two kids is so physically and emotionally draining.

- I failed on my no sweets for the month of January. I made it until the 17th when I gave into Kyle's temptation and had a chocolate chip cookie. It's all been downhill from there.

- I haven't been to Target in 2 weeks.  I believe that is a record for me.

- I'm going to Target on Friday and I'm mostly looking forward to picking up some Valentine's M&M's.  Is it just me or do the holiday ones taste better than the regular ones?

- Lately I've been a little crazy stressing (and still hormonal) that Matthew might be my last baby so I must buy him ALL THE CUTE BABY CLOTHES I see.  It's getting bad.  Babies growing up is so bittersweet.

- Speaking of growing up sometimes I forget how much of a baby Miller still is. Having Matthew has made me see him as older than he is so I'm trying really hard to stop doing that. I have to constantly remind myself that he's only 1.

- Oh and some how Matthew is 12 weeks old and will be 3 months next week. HOW?!?! Time moves too fast.

- My birthday is in 10 days.  It's the only redeeming quality of February.  Otherwise February kind of sucks (at least it does here in MD because you're over the holidays and ready for spring but it's still freezing and gray everyday).

- They only gift I've requested is a cookie cake from Great American Cookie.  I'm interested to see if Kyle actually delivers on that request.

- The spring clothes in all the stores are such a tease. Maybe I just need to move somewhere warmer.

  1. Ugh, I am SO over winter, too!! And really, why must the stores tempt us with these clothes when we can't wear them up north for like 3 or 4 more months? So rude. Let's move somewhere warm together!

  4. Hang in there, you have your hands full with two little guys and you're doing so great! I've been hoping Rowan stays put until February because a January birthday is even worse! (I'm a January baby so I can say that haha) Hope you get that cookie cake, those are dangerous in our household!

  5. I think that the Valentine's Day M&M's taste better because they're all sorts of shades of pink ;)

  13. I love your random thoughts :) I was so inspired to quit sweets, but I'm not going to lie, I feel better that you got back on the sugar train because I only made it like two days. How is Matthew three months?! Didn't you have him yesterday!?!?!?!

  15. That is an amazing amount of time to go without sweets and without Target. I wouldn't last that long!

  16. Sounds like California is calling your name!! Never try and quit sweets, that's like trying to quit Diet Coke. Just WRONG!

  18. The spring clothes will be the death of me. I can't stop shopping but I have no extra money to buy clothes right now. But all the pretty colors are calling my name! Ugh! I need to stay out of the stores and off the laptop b/c even online shopping is getting me lately and I usually prefer to do it in person! Cookie cake for your bday sounds like a good request! I hope you get it!

  20. You always have the best thoughts for Thursday's! I love your solid, honest brain dumps!! I can't imagine how exhausting two kids is especially so close in age. Our boys are still so needy, so I can't imagine adding a newborn into the mix right now! You're a champion!! It's interesting to hear you say that Matthew might be your last too because I go back and forth between the idea of two or three kids! So tough! Have so much fun buying lots of new clothes. I can't help myself!

  21. I'm so all over the place with the stress load kids bring (and a husband who works constantly - still there friday at almost 8) and yet I freak that we might be done and freak that we might have another!
Even if you buy all the cute baby clothes and have another baby that baby might wear them. Or you can sale the clothes - if you buy a lot they will all be worn only once or twice ;)
I'm so glad you gave in on the chocolate. You may not have been human otherwise!
Winter is so rough - especially with kids who need to just get outside!
I hope you get that cookie cake!!!
