Weekend Recap: Pumpkins, Date Nights, and Baby Names

Hello Monday! I can't believe you're here again so quickly! I swear my days are going by so fast lately and the weekends even faster.   Since we don't have too much longer before baby #2's arrival we tried to pack in as much as we could (and as much as my huge self can handle).

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch this weekend! It's not an actual pumpkin patch it's more of a fall festival event a local nursery holds every weekend from mid-September until the weekend before Halloween.  You are able to pick your own pumpkin from but they also offer hayrides, corn maze, pony rides and lots of games for kids. They also have all your favorite festival food such as funnel cakes, fried oreos, BBQ, french fries, etc.  We've been so good the last two years and avoided the food so we could bring home some apple cider donuts.  The apple cider donuts are so, so good.

Getting Miller to sit still for a photo is pretty much impossible these days so this is the best I could do. I'm still not sure how some stranger got him to smile for the family photo!

" Let go of me mom!!"

I was trying so hard to get a cute picture of Miller's monogrammed pumpkin shirt but that's the best I could do.   It's from the Etsy shop Kalamity Kids. They have great monogrammed options for holidays and beyond.

I wore my new BP shirt that I posted about on Saturday and I'm obsessed!  For $16 it can't be beat! I only wish I had discovered them earlier because they're perfect for pregnancy.

Kyle and I had another date night on Saturday. We are totally on a roll lately with date nights and taking advantage of my parents volunteering to help. (before we have two kids and they want nothing to do with us ha!)
We went to Tsunami one of our favorite Annapolis sushi places for dinner.  Even though I have to stick to the cooked stuff it was still so good!

I tried a non-alcoholic beer at dinner called Bitburger Drive. It's a German pilsner and it was ok,  I mean I haven't really found a non-alcoholic beer that I looove but it does the trick in the mean time.

After dinner we headed next door to 49 West Coffeehouse and Winebar for dessert.  Kyle had some more wine and I had a decaf cappuccino.  We then split the most amazing pumpkin cheesecake which I didn't even get a picture of because we ate it too fast.  We asked the waiter where it was from and it was from the same bakery that made our wedding cake!!   If you're local it's Cakes and Confections in Annapolis. I think we're going to order one for Thanksgiving this year.

Sunday was spent doing chores around the house like installing more baby gates,  laundry, cutting the grass, grocery shopping etc.  Miller loves when Kyle is home on the weekends and pretty much follows him around all day copying every thing he does.  He is all boy and it's so fun to watch him try to be like his Daddy.

Helping Daddy install baby gates

Watching Daddy mow the lawn (Kyle's out there I swear I just snapped the pic as he was out of the view)

So remember when I said we picked our baby name for baby boy #2... well now we are back to undecided.   Kyle threw out another name that we strongly considered for Miller but didn't really consider  for this little guy and he thinks it might be his new #1. I on the other hand am sort of stuck on the one we were 99% on last week.  Ughhhhhh.  I think at this point we might just wait until we meet him next week and see which name fits him best!

In other new the nursery is almost finished!! I just need  my dad to hang a few more things  for me and hopefully it will be ready before baby boy arrives!

  7. We had our boys' names both planned out by their baby showers, even though it was hard to come to an agreement, but with Farrah, we went back and forth soooooo many times right up to the end. I am glad we ended up with Farrah, and it was not my first choice! Funny how it just works out...she is totally a Farrah. :-)

  10. Picking a name is soooo hard! We are 99% sure that we have a name for baby boy #2, but I'm so hesitant to pull the trigger and officially say it's his name. Why is it so hard? Especially the second time around, ugh!

  12. I can't wait to hear which name you pick, you will also need to post the runner up name, mainly because I'm nosy and love hearing about how people pick their baby names.

  13. Picking a name is so hard! Especially when you used your favorite name for kid #1. I can't wait to hear what you choose. I'm sure it'll be adorable. And I love the pumpkin patch photos - even if Miller didn't sit still. He's such a cutie!

  14. Love the pumpkin patch pics and of course that cute little pumpkin Miller. I don't know how you narrow down names so more power to ya; it's so dang final of course it's stressful ha. You'll find the right one I know though :)
