Favorite Room Tour: Brody's Nursery with Annie from Home of Malones

Today I have my fellow Thoughts for Thursday host Annie from Home of Malones sharing a tour of Brody's nursery!  I don't know if you know this but Miller and Brody share the exact same birthday! It's been so fun having someone with a son the same age to share advice, good times, and struggles with over the past few months.  I can't wait for you all to get a look into Brody's chic nursery!  Thanks again for helping me out Annie and make sure you check out her full house tour...warning you might be drooling from all the gorgeousness afterwards!

I'm Annie and blog over at Home of Malones.  I'm happy to be here today and share a glimpse into my home with you.  When Natalie asked me to do a guest post while she was out having a baby about my favorite room in the house, I knew exactly which room I would do!  I chose my son, Brody's, room.  When we brought Brody home from the hospital, we were temporarily living in my Mom's house while ours was being built.  You know how you always dream of designing your first born's nursery???  Well, I didn't exactly get to put together my dream nursery to start with since we were in a temporary spot; but I had plenty of visions of what I wanted to do once we moved in!  So once we finally got settled in our new house (Brody was 6 months old), I was the most excited to put his room together.

I wanted soft colors in Brody's nursery and planned to use both new and old pieces.  I chose the simple Jenny Lind Crib for it's timeless look and inexpensive price tag.   I owned the white swivel chair, ottoman, dresser and mirror already and knew I would be able to utilize those in his room.  I had plans to keep the room mostly gender neutral with just a few pops of blue.  I love the way the room turned out with a bit of modern, rustic, traditional and a touch of antique.

Welcome in...

And here's a little video just for fun:
