Five on Friday

TGIF!  Can you believe we are already in August?? Where has this summer gone?  I'm back again with some more things I am loving this Friday

1.Tory Burch Miller Sandal in Croc Print
First of all these are named after my son- so clearly I need a pair! (that's what I told Kyle). Secondly I have purchased zero new shoes in almost a year because my feet were so swollen from pregnancy and now that they are back to normal size I think I deserve a pretty pair of shoes

2. Aden and Anais Muslin Swaddle Blankets
I absolutely love these blankets.  We haven't really used them for swaddling since the first week but they have been great for our walks and running errands.  I just drape them over the car seat/stroller so they block out the sun (or strangers hands) but they are light enough that I don't worry about it getting to hot when he's covered up.

3. Skinny Cow Snickerdoodle Ice Cream Sandwich
I pretty much ate dessert with every meal while I was pregnant.  Now that I'm no longer pregnant I'm trying to behave myself when it comes to dessert. It's sooo hard giving up sweets so I've compromised with these delicious yet not bad for you ice cream sandwiches from Skinny Cow.

4. This Blog Post "When You Think Your Love Story is Boring" on Huffington Post this week- find it here

There is a rumor, an urban myth, a fiction, a fantasy, a black-and-white screen cliché that love looks like the mad, romantic dash through airports for a last chance at a flailing kiss.
And then the credits roll.
And the lights come on.
And we must go back to our real lives where we forget that love really lives.

Go read it.  It's about real life and how it's so much better than the fantasy we all think we need

5. 6 Hours of Sleep!!
This little nugget slept from 11:30pm-5:30am!! I actually woke up at 4am realized he was still asleep- I checked on him, made sure not to disturb him and then crashed again until he woke me up at 5:30am.  It was amazing! I seriously feel like I got 10 hours of sleep- let's hope this is a permanent thing and not just a one time fluke. (I'm not crossing my fingers yet but a girl can dream)

  14. You made the right choice on the shoes. I've had mine since last May and I wear them ALL the time. Cost per wear? They're basically free!
