Recent Fashion Hits and Misses

I've been doing some shopping lately to try and find some cute non-maternity clothes that will last me through the summer and work while chasing an 11 month old around.  I've had a lot of hits and misses so I wanted to share what worked and what didn't with you all before you went and spent the money!

Hits:
Love, love, love this tee!! It's comfortable and made of the softest cotton, plus it's flattering.  I loved it so much I bought it in this color and the grey.   I got a medium, I could have worn the small but I wanted it to be long enough over the baby bump as it grows this summer.

This is the long sleeve version of the top above- love, love, love!

This dress was so comfortable I couldn't pass it up.  If you can't tell I'm completely sold on this Puella brand now.   The dress was the perfect length and I loved the criss cross in the back to add a little extra to it.   I got this in a small.

Misses:

I wanted to love this top but it was so boxy. It just made me look big up top.  I think even with a big pregnant belly it would still just make you look wide.

I love this top- it's comfortable and flattering but it's completely see through!! It's made of a gauzy beach cover up material.  You would have to wear some sort of camisole under it and I'm not even sure how you would you do that.  I am hoping to purchase this style from Sabine in another color and hope that isn't too sheer.

Some how this top is sold out but it was awful.  It was super boxy and made me look 9 months pregnant and fat all at the same time.  Maybe it's made for super duper skinny people who you could never mistake for fat, either way I didn't love it.

J Brand Side Panel Cut off Maternity Shorts
So many people have raved to me about J Brand maternity shorts.  I saw these onsale at Pea in the Pod so I figured I would give them a shot.  They have the side panel which I prefer to the full belly coverage but they were awful on me.  I am tall but I'm mostly torso and these just rode right up my crotch while the back side was gaping open.  They were just awkward so back they went and I reluctantly picked up a Pea in the Pod brand pair with the fully belly coverage.

  3. We don't have Anthropologie so I've never heard of that Puella brand, but I'm so glad you introduced me. Those shirts look so comfortable plus adorable and then that dress is fab. So glad you found some good pieces for dressing the bump this summer!

  9. I'm obsessed with the Puella line! I bought a long sleeve top this spring, and I'm keeping it in my limited closet space for the first cool-ish day in the fall. (Wishful thinking?!) Thanks for linking up today! Can't wait for your link-up tomorrow!! xo

  10. I liked the way you put together everything, there is certainly no need to go any further to look for any additional information. You mentioned each and everything that too with much of ease.
