We stayed at the Carlton Hotel on Madison Ave at 29th st. It was a really nice hotel and in a great location. It was easy to walk to most of the places we wanted to go to.
We arrived around 1pm and were starving so we started our trek to SoHo (my favorite place to shop in the city) and hoped to find food on the way. I had been hearing about abc kitchen an organic farm to table type restaurant but I didn't know where it was and we just happened to stumble upon it on our way to SoHo. I am so happy that we did! We didn't have reservation but the wait wasn't very long and the food was amazing. I had the tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil whole wheat pizza and it was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Plus the restaurant just has a very cool electic vibe.
Sadly we did not go into ABC Carpet and Home

I finally made it C.Wonder and I'm obsessed!! It took all my willpower not to buy half the store. I was actually in SoHo last fall on the opening weekend of the store but didn't get to go in since lines were around the block. It did not disappoint, it really is a more affordable Tory Burch. The website doesn't do it any justice, if you're ever near a store you must go in!
After some shopping around SoHo we stopped at Balthazar at the suggestion of Cheryl Denise from A Peek of Chic for some cocktails. We didn't have any celebrity sightings but we did have some delicious drinks
Thursday night we had reservations at David Burke Kitchen which is located in the James Hotel in SoHo. My sister had been dying to go to this restaurant so we went. We sat in the Garden which I higly recommend. The food was good but nothing too exciting or over the top, we were both disappointed especially after our amazing meal at abc kitchen. We did meet the most fun group of gay guys and chatted with them all night which lead to us all sharing desserts which I can say are amazing. If you go you must try the ricotta donuts- to die for.
Friday night we headed to Brooklyn for the bachelorette party. I fell in love with Brooklyn and am dying to go back- will be back later this week to recap that part of the trip!
You guys did a ton! It almost makes me miss MYC :) Not quite there yet! I love riving. Ha.
ReplyDeleteHello! I THINK I found you by way of A. Liz Adventures. At any rate, excited!!! I am NYC bound next week for some fashion week festivities. I am familiar with C. Wonder but did not know about the retail space, so THANK YOU for the intro.... will have to make this stop happen. Most certainly The City Bakery will be on that list.. a fav! So fun to have found you! Whitley at the Queen City Style.
