Current Obsessions: Shopbop Sale

I know every blogger is talking about this but the Shopbop Buy more, Save more is always such a good sale!  I tend to use this sale as a way to stock up on classic pieces that are pricey and usually don't go on sale.
The sale only lasts 3 days and you get 20% off orders under $500 and 25% off orders over $500 with the code EOTS17

I rounded up my favorites below, click each image to be taken directly to it:

If you've followed me long enough you know that I own and love the Karen Walker Super Duper sunglasses, they're totally worth their price tag!  I also own the Sam Edelman Petty booties and probably wore them almost every day of last winter.  You know I can't turn down anything blue and white which is why I've included both of those dresses on my wishlist.  AG jeans have become one of my favorite brands over the last year and I love this distressed version.  That Joie cardigan looks so comfy and I'm thinking those leopard print Sam Edelman mules would be a fun way to give that trend a try.  Tory Burch items are sometimes excluded from these sales but these oak colored Minnies and this wallet are both included! I have not tried the Minnies yet but I've heard they're better than Revas, anyone agree?

Thoughts for Thursday: Fall Clothes for Toddler Boys

Shopping for clothes for my kids gets harder and harder as they get older and start to get more opinions on what they wear.  While I do let them have their dinosaur and truck tees I also try to keep a lot of basics in their closet that I love since I know my days of dressing them are slowly dwindling.   Everyone always says finding cute boys clothes is tough but I think if you truly look hard you can find lots of great pieces in all different stores.  Now that my boys are out of all things baby and into all things toddler I rounded up my favorite places to shop for fall and winter below.

J.Crew Factory Crewcuts- this is one of my favorite places to buy basics for the boys.  They have a great selection of solid color and striped tees and polos.  I tend to go for J.Crew Factory vs J.Crew because the prices are just so much better and the quality is pretty similar.  Plus for some reason I seem to find more stuff I like at Factory for the boys than regular J.Crew.  Since they always have such good sales from 40-60% off it makes purchasing clothes for your kids from here guilt free.
Here are some of my favorites:

Old Navy-  ON has quickly become one of our favorites for pants because my boys are so tall and skinny!  It's been tough finding pants that are long enough for Miller that he can also keep up around the waist and Old Navy has become our go-to over the past year.  We've been wearing both their pull on pants for school and the ones with the button fly. I loved their corduroy pants last winter so I'm hoping they bring those back soon. I also bought Miller a really comfy pull on pair of skinny jeans that he loves this year. He really wanted a pair of jeans and the ON ones were the only ones I liked on him. If you need a pair of durable affordable dressier shoes I loved their sueded desert boot last year and they brought it back again this year!  I've already bought this years size for my boys.
Here are some of my favorites:

Target Cat & Jack- I've had pretty good luck with the Cat & Jack line from Target too.  If you take your time and really sort through it you can find some great basics.  We loved their skinny pull on pants last year for Miller and I bought a bunch of their long sleeve Henleys and plain crew neck tees for the boys last year.  This year I picked up a pair of sneakers to keep in Miller's backpack as the extra pair and I got them both a pair of the C&J chukka boots to wear to school with pants and jeans in the winter months
Here are my favorites:

Mini Boden- this one is more of a splurge but I absolutely love their clothes and the quality is so good you know they will last. So far this fall I have picked up two tees for each boy.  I love love love the Raglan style tee but most have 3/4 length sleeves which drives Miller nuts because he tries to pull them down so I love the Mini Boden has one with full length sleeves.  I also got each of them a striped super soft tee.  I plan to get them some of their pull on corduroy as we get closer to winter.  While their prices can be steep I've found if you wait around for a 20% off sale and free shipping you can get a good deal. I also know that with this quality I can easily pass it down from Miller to Matthew and then on to my nephew.
Here are my favorites:

So there you have it! Let me know if you have any questions about sizing or fit and I'll see if I can help.  Do you shop at these places?  Are their any good stores I missed?

Thoughts for Thursday: The First Day of School

Hi Friends! Happy September! Yesterday was the first day of school for both my boys and it was huge success!

Miller was very excited to go this year. This is his third year at this preschool he's really familiar with everything and most of his friends have followed him through the years. He was so excited to be in Pre-K and one of the big kids at school.  I can't even think about him going to kindergarten next year (cue all the tears).

Matthew was a little bit more apprehensive since this was his first year and the past week he's been saying "you go to school with me mommy, you stay with me mommy." Totally broke my heart :( He's always had separation anxiety so I was so nervous to leave him but he did really well!  I was so proud of him. They said he didn't shed a tear and was happily playing with the other kids.  Only half the class went with him yesterday so I'll be interested to see how he does when it's all 12 kids together on Friday.

I only had an hour free yesterday but on tomorrow I get a whole 2.5 hours to myself! I don't even know what to do in that time ;)

I'm hoping everyone else's kids have had a great first week or few weeks back at school and to all my friends in the path of Irma- I'm praying she changes directions or slows her role before she gets to the US.
